MEET Dr. Jennifer Shiflet

Dentistry has always been a part of Dr. Jennifer Shiflet Maras’s life. As a third-generation dentist, she grew up watching both her father and grandfather build meaningful, lifelong relationships with their patients. Some of her family’s closest friends were first patients of her father or grandfather, giving her an early appreciation for the unique role a dentist can play in the lives of families over generations. Today, she is proud to carry that legacy forward in her own practice.

Dr. Shiflet is passionate about combining modern, evidence-based dentistry with a personal and thoughtful approach to care. She wants her patients to feel comfortable asking questions, understand their treatment options, and feel confident in the decisions they make about their oral health. From routine restorative care to complex full-mouth rehabilitation, she enjoys developing comprehensive treatment plans tailored to each patient’s individual needs and goals.

Originally from Bethesda, Maryland, Dr. Shiflet completed her undergraduate studies in Washington, D.C., before earning her dental degree from the University of Maryland School of Dentistry in Baltimore. She then completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency in Houston, Texas, where she served as Chief Resident and received additional training in comprehensive and advanced restorative dentistry.

Her commitment to continuing education has remained an important part of her career. Dr. Shiflet has participated in the Seattle Study Club and pursued advanced training through the Dawson Academy and the American Academy of Facial Esthetics, allowing her to continually expand her knowledge and incorporate current techniques and technology into her practice.

Dr. Shiflet lives in Palm Beach Gardens with her husband, Dr. Kyle Maras, and their two children, Liam and Isla. Outside of dentistry, she loves spending time with her family, enjoying the outdoors, and keeping up with the many activities that come with raising two young children.
